A few weeks back I posted about why you shouldn't get another degree.
And then I heard this podcast with Cal Newport. For those of you who don't know, Cal Newport has written numerous books over the years on how to be successful as a student and in your professional life. The crazy thing is, he also walks the walk. Cal holds a Ph.D in computer science from MIT and currently works at Georgetown University where he received tenure in 2017 after working for only 6 years.
He's kinda reached the top of his field.
So when I heard this advice on advanced degrees I was hooked.
Enjoy!
